Education 4 Conservation

There are mixed views about using the microblogging site, Twitter, but for one Midlands based organisation, Education 4 Conservation (E4C), the site has proved to be a great success, thanks to Bridge PR.

E4C is a social enterprise that provides a wide range of environmental education resources for teachers, educators and learners. Part of this service provision is the recent development of EnvELOP (Environmental Education and Learning Online Programmes). EnvELOP takes full advantage of Web 2.0 and digital technologies, and E4C has become very adept at using social media networking to gather support for this platform.

Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Flickr, LinkedIN, to name but a few, are all social media networking sites that have burgeoned in the past few years.

Bridge PR has helped E4C to use Twitter to find writers and contributors for EnvELOP, and has managed to track down teachers and environmental educators from around the globe who are willing to help with this innovative new project.
