The Good Garage Scheme
Brighton garage owner gains global recognition
We are helping the Good Garage Scheme to develop a social media policy and strategy that will benefit the organisation and its members to raise their profile on a variety of platforms. Some garages have been extremely flexible in embracing new media and the opportunities it can create which is very exciting to see.
Steve Kennard owner of 1st Class Garage in Kemptown, Brighton, has earned a potentially lucrative global following after striking on a new idea for his business website – www.1stclassgarage.co.uk
Steve uses podcasts to help motorists identify problems with their cars and has attracted regular listeners from as far afield as Australia and Canada after striking on the idea.
The podcasts focus on anything from common vehicle problems and technical tips to motoring-related issues in the Brighton area but could lead to a subscription-based forum to find out vital information about specific vehicles and related mechanical faults.
