Coventry's Netmetix heads to the clouds for charity

The sky’s the limit for Stephen Groundwell, a Sales Executive from Coventry Company Netmetix, as he attempts his longest ever paraglide this month.

Funds are being raised towards Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, a charity close to the hearts of both Stephen and Paul Blore, managing director of IT solutions company Netmetix.

Stephen is being supported by Cloudmetix, a complete cloud-based solution being launched by Netmetix this month.

Over a full day Stephen aims to travel 30 miles, which is 10 miles further than his previous personal record.

Stephen Groundwell said: “It took me a whole day to do 20 miles previously, so this is going to be very difficult. But it’s all in aid of a good cause and I really appreciate all the support I have already had.”

The skies of Derbyshire will see the paragliding spectacle between 12th and 18th September depending on weather conditions.

The aim of the event is to be air bound as long as possible flying the furthest achievable distance.

“I’ve been doing it for two years now, and it’s a completely eye-opening experience!” said Stephen.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers with 28,500 people being diagnosed every year.

Donations can be made at http://www.justgiving.com/cloudmetix or email Stephen directly with the amount you wish to sponsor at Stephen.groundwell@netmetix.net
